The shop on Apache Trail
One Google reviewer’s words for the floor here. Others add “clean,” “reasonable” and “gone next time.”
Sample Studios Art & Antiques is a walk-in antique store on W Apache Trail, near Ironwood Drive.
The floor holds fine art, antiques, vintage finds, furniture, collectibles and mid-century modern pieces.
The art in the name is real, too: the shop is run by an artist, and framed paintings hang all through the store.
Furniture is the other half of the story. The sign out front reads refurbish, repurpose, repair.
Pieces get refinished, mended or given a new job. The shop refurbishes and repairs items for customers, too.
Delivery and layaway are available, and the doors are open every day of the week.

Scroll and watch a tired piece come back. The drawing changes as you go; the dresser photos are the shop’s own.

01 · Found
Scuffs, a water ring, a drawer that sags and a pull gone missing. This oak dresser came into the shop in pieces.

02 · Stripped
The worn finish is taken back so the wood can show again, and the surface is sanded smooth for what comes next.

03 · Mended
Loose joints glued and clamped, drawers set to slide straight, missing hardware replaced. Repair is on the sign for a reason.

04 · Finished
Stain to bring up the grain, or paint for a whole new look. That same oak dresser, back together with its mirror on.

05 · On the floor
And it does not wait around long. Delivery and layaway are both on offer, so ask at the counter.
Stuff moves quickly. If you like it- buy it or it will be gone next time.

I almost hate to post this because I want to keep Sample Studios to myself. This place is completely amazing and the owner finishes and refurbishes beautiful pieces of furniture and then sells it at amazingly reasonable prices. There are so many things to see from art to furniture to door knobs to record albums and too much more to mention. If you see it and love it BUY it because if not it may not be there when you go back. I learned that one the hard way.
My boyfriend and I just love coming here often to see what’s new. We have purchased 2 pieces of furniture that we absolutely love. The prices are reasonable. Stuff moves quickly. If you like it- buy it or it will be gone next time. 😃
Great collection of old, unusual and whimsical pieces. Beautiful paintings and lamps, clocks, old toys and more! Definitely worth a stop to browse this clean store! You could find your next treasure! Parking in front of the store.
Charlie was able to cut a slice of glass for our reptile enclosure. 10/10 recommend.
Super cool antique store and nice owner! Definitely recommend checking it out, we will be coming back!
This place is such a great antique stop!
